eMail und Excel – die wundersame Vermehrung des Product Masters

In vielen Firmen gibt es ein zentrales Datenblatt mit allen für ein neues Produkt relevanten Informationen, den sogenannten „Product Master“. Diese Datei, häufig in Excel erstellt, enthält nach Abteilungen unterteilt alle zu klärenden Fragen.

Abteilungen in Firmen können geographisch weit verteilt sein – so wird der Master mit der Bitte um Vervollständigung per eMail an die verantwortlichen Abteilungen gesendet. Da nicht alle Einträge in einer bestimmten Reihenfolge erfolgen müssen und um Zeit zu sparen, werden gelegentlich Kopien des Masters versendet, bevor der eigentliche Master mit den Ergänzungen zurück ist.
