A heartfelt thank you to the Board members for your trust and support. Representing one of currently only 46 [GS1](https://systrion.com/en/solutions/gdsn-datapool?hsLang=en)[-certified GDSN data pools](https://systrion.com/en/solutions/gdsn-datapool?hsLang=en) worldwide, our [team](https://systrion.com/en/we?hsLang=en) at Systrion AG has long believed in the power of standards to unlock greater efficiency, transparency, and interoperability in global trade. Why Global Trade Needs Strong Standards At its best, global free trade empowers innovation, reduces costs, creates opportunities for emerging markets, and ultimately gives consumers better choices. But that potential is only realized when trade is underpinned by trust, data integrity, and harmonized standards - exactly what GS1 and the GDSN make possible. Here are 5 key ways in which I think that GS1 standards and the GDSN enable better global trade - and why manufacturers and retailers benefit directly: 1. Seamless Product Data Exchange Accurate product information flows between partners, reducing errors and manual effort. 2. Improved Data Quality & Compliance Standardized attributes and validation rules help ensure regulatory and industry-specific compliance from the start. 3. Faster Time-to-Market Products get to shelves (both physical and digital) quicker when data is synchronized across systems. 4. Greater Transparency & Traceability From farm to fork or lab to shelf, traceability improves consumer safety and brand trust. 5. Reduced Operational Costs Less rework, fewer disputes, and streamlined onboarding means measurable bottom-line impact. As a company committed to empowering global brands and retailers with [Product Information Management (PIM) software](https://systrion.com/en/solutions/pim?hsLang=en), we at Systrion AG see firsthand the transformational value of participating in the GDSN. I look forward to collaborating with the GDSN Board to help shape the future of trusted data exchange and smarter commerce. ![avatar](https://systrion.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Fotos/Menschen/wolfram_kreis_blau.png?width=290&name=wolfram_kreis_blau.png) [Wolfram Koller ](https://systrion.com/en/resources/blog/author/wolfram-koller)Founder and CEO of Systrion AG ## RELATED ARTICLES [![logo](https://systrion.com/hs-fs/hubfs/systrion_positiv_CMYK_S_RZ.png?width=180&height=90&name=systrion_positiv_CMYK_S_RZ.png "logo")](https://www.systrion.com?hsLang=en) **Solutions** - [GS1 GDSN data pool](https://systrion.com/en/solutions/gdsn-datapool) - [PIM](https://systrion.com/en/solutions/pim) **Systrion AG ** - [Our Values](https://systrion.com/en/about-us/our-values) - [Career](https://systrion.com/en/career) - [Blog](https://systrion.com/en/resources/blog) **Contact** Systrion AG** **Flughafenstrasse 52 22335 Hamburg**   +49 (0)40 55 61 94 0 [ info@systrion.com](mailto:info@systrion.com) © 2025 Systrion AG.
